Thanksgiving Tablescape Ideas ... you still have time to plan a beautiful table!
Setting a beautiful table for visiting family and friends is a Thanksgiving tradition, so I've put together some ideas that I love this year. Before the turkey and dressing come out, your guests will enjoy an inviting table while enjoying time together.
From traditional to whimsical, each of these 6 ideas will help you create a beautiful and stylish Thanksgiving Tablescape.
Mixing metals is the theme of this modern traditional table. Copper mugs and flatwear along with galvanized metal tubs and serving pieces mix rustic with modern to create a lovely complete look. Matte French Grey Dinnerware from Williams-Sonoma bring out the greys in the understated plaid table runner.
Bring the look together with these Be Thankful napkin rings and small bouquets of fall flowers placed in galvanized buckets and your modern traditional Thanksgiving table is ready for guests!
This simple and beautiful fall harvest table starts with a stone-washed linen tablecloth and uses vibrantly colored cloth napkins in greens, purples, and greys with simple white place settings and contrasting gold flatwear.
Birch chunky candles and sweet little burlap pouches give this table a natural feel. Dainty dried or fresh flowers (lavender and eucalyptus shown here) with gorgeous white pumpkins wrapped with a garland of fresh greenery completes the look.
BLACK & WHITE & GOLD
All you need to pull off this pretty combination is white tableware, gold flatware, black fringed placemats, and greenery. .. all super easy to find. The alternating white and black/white gingham napkins are knotted and a mini birch bark holder (can be found on Etsy) names attendes on each plate. Almost any leafy greenery can be used, so just walk outside and see what you can find in your own backyard.
This understated combination is so easy to put together and could be easily repurposed for your Christmas gathering just a few weeks from now!
MIX AND MATCH BLUES
Why use just one print when you can mix and match and make a beautiful table setting? Shown here is Ralph Lauren's Mandarin Blue Dinner Plate along with Royal Staffordshire Tonquin plate and finally a Stuart & Sons Stuart plate. Each of these patterns can be found on Replacements websites, ebay, etc, but no need to search for just these particular prints ... choose your own blue prints from local sources or online and make your own mix of patterns. Similar blue glassware can be found here or sourced locally as well.
Notice the sweet place holder using the small pine cones on each place setting. Using a charger in a different color with the lace table cloth brings this whole look together beautifully.
This fresh look starts with these gorgeous Chelsea Botanical plates from Mottahedeh. Brightly hued napkins, place cards, and, of course, live plants round out the table's floral color palette. Coleus, sweet potato plants, and acorn squash in the center bring in the perfect colors to complement the brightly illustrated plates. Platters and bowls are also available in this collection.
The place cards at this table use a small fresh flower to name each attendee of this Thanksgiving gathering.
If you love prints, here's a gorgeous look to try. Vintage patterns and bold colors come to play in this place setting from LL Double J. Choose one pretty pattern or mix and match patterns found here. Colorful vintage patterned place mats, vases, and tablecloths will give your guests pretty pops of color.
Add single stems of poppies, peonies, roses, and vividly colored flowers bring it all together.
BOLD TO THE EXTREME
If you want to take prints to the next level in your Thanksgiving Tablescape, consider mixing and matching this Oppio print with Geometrico, both from LA Double J as seen on this unique and bold table. This is one of my favorites and I love the way this look came together with all the different elements.
Once again fresh flowers bring depth (carnations, mini tulips, and other easy to find flowers at your grocer or florist seen here) with brighly hued candies adding even more color. Gold silverware, tinted glassware, and cut glass tumblers are pretty additions which can also be found in second hand stores.
Don't forget this personal touch ... place cards are a lovely addition to any Thanksgiving Table.
